Commercial & Industrial Land and Building Valuations
We have extensive experience working with:
- Listed companies: in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 1973, we provide the skills and expertise to ensure balance sheets accurately reflect the current value of all the fixed assets.
- Raising of mortgage and property related finance: including sale and lease backs for the disposal and acquisition of property holdings.
- Expropriation claims and rating: we continuously keep abreast of the law relating to property in South Africa and our team have extensive experience as consultants acting between statutory bodies and the private sector in expropriation matters.
- Insurance sector: we provide independent valuations to establish the full replacement cost of buildings and improvements. Most insurance contracts now include an “average” clause. In the event of partial destruction, only a portion of the cost of the building is refunded if the sum insured is less than the total replacement cost.
