Background

William Hewitt is the managing member of Mills Fitchet (Tvl) and has successfully managed and grown the Mills Fitchet (Tvl) office for the past 20 years.

William Hewitt was approached by Pat Mills and Geoff Fitchet to head up the Johannesburg Office relating to the valuation of all other properties as they specialised in farm valuations.

Expertise

This branch attends to the requirements of a number of JSE listed funds and undertakes valuations in terms of Section 13 of the JSE requirements.

All valuations are personally undertaken by William Hewitt and Tom Wybenga, the numerous combined years of experience of these Valuers and the variety of properties valued, sets us apart from our competitors.

William Hewitt has 35 years experience in the industry and has utilised this to enhance the profession as a whole by his integrity, professional work ethic and dedication to the profession.  He has achieved the following:

  • Member of the SA Institute for Valuers and elevated to Fellow in July 2004
  • Registered as a Valuer in terms of the provisions of the Property Valuers Profession Act, 2000 (Without Restrictions)
  • Completed the Property Development Programme, Natal University (1990)
  • Served as Transvaal member and Chairman of the Institute for Valuers (1993 – 1997)
  • Served as a member of the National Executive, of the Institute for Valuers for a one-year period
  • Obtained National Diploma Property Valuation in 1985
  • Has assisted with the marking of the practical examination for students completing their National Diploma


Since January 1990 William has personally valued 5,756 properties where the total Market Value has been determined as R84,753,810,734.00.

He has passed the Examination for the Certificate of the institute of Estate Agents of S.A.

William is also an Appraiser for the Randburg District.
